I was doing the xcode thing for years and a couple of years ago a co-worker
said we should switch to Eclipse. I said that I was too busy and didn't
want to spend the time to convert. Well, he did it and then he convinced
me. To this day I try to do Cmd-D, to delete lines and Option-cmd-uparrow
to duplicate lines, in many other applications and to my surprise they don't
work. Doh!
If tons of people on this list are recommending it, take the hint. (Maybe
that's why Apple is telling you too.)
