Title: WebObjects 5.3 Licensing Question (Again)
I have been trying to figure out what if any licensing requirements are in place for WebObjects 5.3 applications deployed out as servlets on non OSX platforms. I assume that OSX platforms (at least OSX Server) have a valid WebObjects license on them.
The Apple software licensing site discussion ends at 5.2 (when WebObjects was embedded in with Xcode). I placed a call to the Apple Software Licensing group in Dallas and they were not very helpful at all. They told me to look at the Developer.apple.com site which contained no more information.
Is it safe to assume that any app developed with Xcode (or Eclipse using WOLips) is free from license fees? Most of our deployments are on non OSX platforms including (Windows, Linux, and Solaris).
I need some information ASAP. Thanks in advance.
