I just noticed that Xcode is up to 2.4.1 and was wondering how
people are finding it WO wise. Im still on 2.3 so am wondering if
there are any major WebObjects changes between the 2.3 and 2.4
versions. I remember 2.4 coming out, but not the reason why I
didn't upgrade :(
In short: some bugs fixed, some introduced.
Verdict: it's quite safe to upgrade.
Downgrading afterwards would be troublesome but not really necessary.
I can't remember when the project file .xcodeproj was introduced.
It'll depend on your deployment server as to which JVM to target in
your builds. It's also safe to develop with WO5.3 tools and deploy to
WO5.2.4, for example, so long as you don't use 5.3 only api methods.
Naturally if you've got a spare machine you can test the differences
by opening up the project in the latest Xcode.
