By looking at the results, I came to the same conclusion as you. I'm already thinking of doing a specific survey about Java Client, an another about Wonder and WOLips, and at the beginning of 2008, a new one for WWDC/WOWODC.

I think it's better to have a more generic survey to start, and after we can create specific (and longer) surveys for some groups.

But, one thing I have to improve is the way I wrote those questions :-)

Okay, I filled it out (a day or two ago)... thanks Pascal for setting it up.

Some suggestions for next time...

there's a few questions that I think could've been teased out a bit more to be useful.

e.g., the questions on 'Do you use x' (where x is one of Java Client, D2*, etc) really needed supplementary questions like: 'do you use alternative technologies, or do you plan to use, and so on'. Otherwise I'm not sure how useful it is as a tool for understanding market potentials or demand. e.g., the recent thread on Java Client (or alternative) uses. By just asking who, at this point in time, is using JC, without also asking what other similar technologies are being used doesn't at the very least tell Apple that 3-tier is still an important area for various people.

Just for those hesitating...
It is quick to answer (far quicker than Apple surveys !)
and it focuses on the important points : everyone should answer this !

Thanks Pascal !

Hello fellow WO dudes,

before the WWDC hype go down, I think it's time to make a better picture of the WebObjects community. So I created a online survey where you can give input both to Apple and the community.

The survey URL :

	http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=Rd8PBbh0xxJh3eyuPPvdIg_3d_3d

The results will be sent to Apple and posted on wocommunity.org. I will NOT sell any data, and I won't give individual answers to Apple, only the results will be posted.

Other rules :

- One survey per organization, if I see the same organization more than one time, I will delete the duplicates

- Please, please, be honest in your answers

The survey is open up to August 31th. If you have a blog, please add a link to the survey so that more people are aware of it.

Thanks !
