Yes of course, Mike has done a fantastic job (and continues to do so).
Do you really need to be able to see a rendered version of the page
in the tool to gain what you need (I usually make html changes
with my app running, refreshing the browser as I work.) or could
the addition of some additional functionality in the component
editor help you visualize more clearly?
Like selecting a container element and seeing it's extent? ie:
click on a form and have the form up to the closing tag highlighted?
Yes, that would help. But actually this isn't really for me; I've
gotten used to not having it. I just know that that was the most
helpful feature for me when I was starting out (other than the
extreme coolness of the drag-n-drop bindings, the first four or five
times :) and it has been mentioned by others in the past who said
they missed WOBuilder. And that some people are so visually
oriented that it's always going to be helpful for them.
I guess it's for me in that I expect to be training new WO
programmers in the future and this is something I think would be
helpful for that effort.
Oh, and while I'm asking, a re-factor into subcomponent tool would
be nice, and a generate missing bindings in java file tool, and a
pony... but mostly the pony.
Oh yea, absolutely a pony. And I'll take a kitten, too. :)
BTW, David, nice job on taoofwo.org! It looks great and I love the
domain name.
