other.

That is no problem unless the target of the releationship i an inheritance hierachy (at least with singetable inheritance and faults it's a problem, I don't know about the other kinds and fetches with fetchspecs).  

An EOQualifier is built from a search form that includes attributes
on both entities (each in different models.) The destination key path
is entered as "relationshipName.attributeName."

I haven't tried fetches witch went deep into the model, just fetches on the entities close to the "edge" and fault firing. So can't help you there.

The SQL generated for the qualifier references both tables as if they
were in the same DB (this is Oracle 9i using OraclePlugin, WO 5.3.)

Which blows up since of course the tables aren't in the same view/DB.
