I got one of those WO 4.5 boxes that pop from time to time on ebay just for learning/historical interest. Its developer enviroment asks for Windows NT or Mac OS X Server. Now, does any one know which is the last version of OS X Server that will run a WO 4.5 dev environment?

That is OS X Server 1, Apple's original port of NeXT's OPENSTEP/ Mach. This shouldn't be confused with OS X Server 10. The last version of the original OS X Server was 1.2. Years ago I developed WO 4 apps under Windows NT but switched to OS X Server 1.2 running on a PowerMac G3/300 developer system when I just couldn't stand NT any longer.

However, OS X 10.1 may be the latest OS X on which WO 4.5 can be developed and deployed.

Is WO installed by default with an OS X Server install?

OS X Server (Tiger) includes WO Deployment, but not WO Developer.

I mean, let's say I grab OS X Server Tiger and make a fresh install on a PPC Mac. Can I, then, intsall that 4.5 pack and use it without problems, even for deployment afterwards?

No. The ObjC frameworks have not been compatible with WO 4.5 since probably 2002.
