Um, did I miss something?

Setting the "Redirection URL:"  to  http://www.apple.com/
in the "Load Balancing and Adaptor Settings"
of JavaMonitor will arrange to redirect people to see that AppleTV started shipping today! ;-)
I believe it works for No instance available, but this does not appear to work for Requested app not found.  If you set this and then go to http://theserver/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MakeUpAnAppNameThatDoesntExist.woa, it does not actually redirect.  Patrick's explanation makes sense, though, that redirect url is an entry in the application definition, which can't be read for an application that does not exist.  This, by the way, seems like a bug to me that there isn't a place in the adaptor config file to set the default redirect url for non-existent applications without going through what Patrick describes.
