It looks like that perl script was written for linux, based on the
args of the 'ps' command, it will not work as expected on OSX or
FreeBSD. It also appears that it will happily kill a lot more than
just your application instances.
My recommendation would be to proceed VERY carefully if you intend to
use this script.
