Okay, I've made some progress, simplified the model, but there's
one final problem that's a bit baffling:
- the foreign key ('clientId') is not being given a value in the sql.
So I have an abstract parent called Taggable with various kids.
Taggable (Abstract, vertical inheritance)
id
created
modified
clientId (foreignKey) with relationship 'client'
One of the subentities 'Course' has additional fields - but when
saving the record the clientId is not being passed in the sql
statement.
Any ideas why?
If you do have duplicated PK values in an inheritance hierarchy split
across table, this will confuse EOF as to what entity an object is.
That might explain it.
