I have had some success with apple's radar bug reporter, the more
users that are likely to be effected the quicker the resolution.
However I still have some corner case bugs outstanding that are over
two years old. A couple are so old that I have forgotten what I was
doing to need them fixed in the first place

But... bugreport.apple.com appears like a black hole to me. In most
cases you never get an answer if you file a bug there.
