Title: Re: world database

I don’t know if this helps, but I download Country and Language Lists from the following site:

http://www.ethnologue.com/codes/

These lists correspond to ISO 639 standards.
We use these for cataloguing library items.

These lists are from 2005, so there may be newer information somewhere else.

2007/11/30, Ken Foust <email@hidden>:
Is there a world (County) database out there that one can download.

mmm I don't undestand very well what are you looking for... I've found an xml file at http://www.dbis.informatik.uni-goettingen.de/Mondial/#Datalog maybe this is what you need

I have the lists and maybe I can just import to a app like eomodeler
or entity modeler
I haven't looked at that possibility because I know the real answer
is right here

Thanks - ken
