Hi,
can it be that the wiki(s) are still pretty much of a mess right now?
- the old site at the wikibooks is still online, even after 2
month, no one knows if new stuff has been written there
- there is only one note at the top of the first page telling
people this stuff is deprecated, no redirect
- in the "new" site, there are two "main listings" of Project Wonder:
http://wiki.objectstyle.org/confluence/display/WONDER/Home
http://wiki.objectstyle.org/confluence/display/WO/Home#Home-
ProjectWONDER
- google finds the old site in favor of new one
- all the directory-like structure is gone, so we don't have
Programming/EOF/bla, but Programming-EOF-bla but confluence doesn't
have an option to "move" pages?
It's not like I actually read that stuff, but I think the currently
situation is confusing to say the least...
I wanted to move pages as sub-pages (for example : Wirehose -> Basic
concepts -> Overview) but I just remembered something : you can't
have two pages with the same name in a space. So you can't have :
Wirehose -> Basic concepts -> Overview
and :
EOF -> Using EOF -> Overview
because we have two "Overview" page, even if they are under different
pages. Solutions :
- Create spaces per topic ("EOF", "Wonder", "Wirehose", etc.)
or
- Add a ID or name when conflicts arise, for example :
Wirehose -> Basic concepts -> (Wirehose) Overview
and :
EOF -> Using EOF -> (EOF) Overview
This is one of the few flaws of Confluence...
