Dear List,
What does one have to do in order to move/copy a WOLips/Eclipse
environment from one user account to another user or system? Both
source and target are Leopard.
Obviously the contents of "~Documents/workspace" and "/
Applications/Eclipse"... How about all the preferences and
settings? Any secret files?
Copy the entire workspace folder not the contents so that you get
the invisible .metadata folder.
Also make sure you copy the ~/WebObjects.properties (if using
Wonder) and ~/Library/wobuild.properties files.
Off the top of my head I can't think of anything else (other than
the WebObjects and Wonder installation that is).
Copying the workspace folder only works under certain premises. The
path to the
workspace must not change. The location of the jarfiles comprising
any user defined
libraries must not change. If the target system is a clone of the
original system, it will
work out. If not, its probably better to start a fresh workspace.
