I noticed the developer preview was only for 64bit, but I had though that was because they were going to release 32bit and 64bit separately. i can see now that I was mistaken. :)

I am not sure why so many people are saying that the Java language is dead. As long as it continues to grow and evolve I will continue to use it. that is not to say that I wont use other languages as I need to. Java has it's issues, mostly on the front end GUI (SWT, etc) responsiveness and layout. It looks like Sun has finally realized this and is trying to address it in 1.6 and later versions by porting all graphical engines, and I think controls, onto each platform that Java is released for.

I hope that Apple does not drop Java, I use it for almost all may projects I work on, I would be back to running a pc and a Mac separately, I have gotten too used to having my favorite OS as my work machine.
