I've seen problems going from an inherited record to another inherited record (where they both have the same super). Have you turned on adaptor logging and checked the sql?
Yes, that seems to look fine. Have to reduce it to a simpler case.
But I think, there must be something funky with my models from the refactoring. Right now, I can't even do a
NSArray result = Person.fetchAllPersons(editingContext, null);
It craps out with a similar illegal state exception.
I will create a test case later and see what I can find there.
