Hi Randall,

I have a deployed app needing updates from which the source code was lost,

I've done a fresh install of Xcode 2.5 in Tiger,

including WebObjects?

and was going to create a
new project, insert components, and then copy over the html, wod code from
the existing app.

1st problem I've run into is that adding a new file in Xcode 2.5, I don't
get the option for a WO component -- only a WO DisplayGroup component. So it
appears there's something missing from the install. Wondering if I should go
back and install Xcode 2.0 and then upgrade from there?

You could try. I can't remember what version of Xcode ceased to include WebObjects options.

I tried copying the components from deployed app into new project to see if
they'd be recognized, but they weren't. I see that the Xcode project file
has refs to the Main component and obviously needs refs to the other
components for the project to see them. Is it possible to code the refs
directly into the Xcode proj file, or should I just stick with Plan A and
recreate components and copy and paste from the old code?
