I'm not sure on OR vs. IN, but FrontBase up to the current version cannot use an index on something like:


select foo from bar where a = 1 or b = 1;

It can use an index on:

select foo from bar where a = 1 or a = 2;

So, the query in the example SHOULD be okay. But it is obviously not.
