Yes. Anything compiled against Java 1.4 will run on 1.5.
You are right. I did not realise one could mix 1.4 and 1.5 compiled
stuff easily... thanks a lot for pointing that out to me.
So I could update the production server, then when I recompile
something under 1.5 it would run and everything else
could stay as it is and interact with the 1.5 piece. I could have
1.4 compiled frameworks and 1.5 compiled Frameworks
both linked into the same app and apps compiled with 1.4 and others
comiled with 1.5 with frameworks from both
compilers linked in and no major/minor errors? Cool!!!
Yep. Major/minor errors occur when you attempt to run compiled code
against a runtime that is a lower version than the byte code.
