I would start by reading an introduction book to WebObjects. Each
one deals with this topic. In case you can't find one, start with
Apple's documentation: http://developer.apple.com/documentation/
DeveloperTools/WebObjects-date.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP30000440-
TP30000436-TP30000592
Although examples of the mechanics of how to create a relationship
mostly refer to using WebObjects with Xcode which of course has
been deprecated, the theory is the same.
You just need to apply the same ideas in Wolips. In Wolips, it's
just as easy, right click on one of the tables involved in the
relationship and select "New Relationship" select your fields and
your done!
If you know nothing about relationships and Enterprise Objects
though, again start with either Apple's Documentation or a book. My
favorite beginner's book, Josh Marker's WebObjects 5, is out of
print though you can find it at some libraries. Can't PeachPit
print on demand? But there are others.
So far, only Chuck's and Ravis Mendis books are still available, I
wasn't able to find new copies of the other books :-(
A good project to add to the WebObjects Wiki, a beginner's guide to
WO. I'll get started on that right away! :)
Have a look at
