I'm wondering about writing a WOA which I would like to give to different people to run against different database products. However, the model has the 'externalType' in the model file which can be used by some plugins such as the PG JDBC adaptor plugin from Wonder. I wonder; has anybody else had to deal with the problem of deployment to two different database server products from the same build?

Yes, I'm using FrontBase and PostgreSQL for the same application in two different production systems. It's completely the same binary build, just different properties in the setup for launching the app.

Prototypes help here! Especially the Wonder version. Have a look at ERPrototypes (I'm not using that, but a more or less 1:1 clone with different prototypes in it).
