That is what my version.plist looks like after applying the update:
<key>BuildVersion</key>
<string>21</string>
<key>CFBundleShortVersionString</key>
<string>5.4.2</string>
<key>ProjectName</key>
<string>JavaWebObjects</string>
<key>SourceVersion</key>
<string>10340000</string>
so I would confirm that. Though I don't know if this is still a build
taken from nightly as Michael suggested, that would be very uncommon
for Apple to include a beta (or even alpha) version of a product in an
official OS X update (ok, sometimes the OS itself seems in beta stage
but you know what I mean... ;-)

Hi!
Does that mean that installing the 10.5.4 update on a Server will
automatically upgrade WO to 5.4.2? That would be a bit aggressive,
specially for people who are deploying 5.3 apps on Leopard... Yes, I
know I should embed the frameworks, but I still didn't have time to
do so.

Hi list,
seems that WO 5.4.2 has gone final now. The knowledge base article
for the OS X Server 10.5.4 update lists "Includes the Web Objects
5.4.2 Update".
However as I can see the 10.5.4 client update does not include that
WO update. Unfortunately it is not available as separate download
yet. Perhaps WO 5.4 will be usable finally? ;-)
