Just that one? Generics are the worst thing since Windows 3.11 ... I try to keep my code clean and add generics where they make sense but I hate them. There is absolutely NO GAIN in using them, just annoyance.

Do you mean generics in general or just Java generics? At least with generics you could do away with much of the type casting in Java, although Java's implementation is not great. Now type casting is the worst thing since Windows 1.0!
