I have installed subversive and the connectors from both update sites shown on that discussion thread and svn connectors do not seem to be recognized. In the SVN Preferences -> SVN Connector tab, the SVN Connector popup menu is empty.

I only installed the SVN Connectors feature, not any of the optional stuff. I already have subversion binaries/javahl from collabnet's OS X installer. Any clues as to why Subversive does not "just work"?

Ganymede simultaneous release
In order to include the Subversive project into Ganymede simultaneous release process we should perform following tasks:
• Check the plug-in compatibility with the Ganymede builds [done]
• Check Ganymede simultaneous release requirements [done]
• Rework bug reporting subsystem to the Mylyn-based one [done]
• Receive parallel IP process acceptance [done]

So I'm guessing that maybe that just means that Subversive gets built along with Ganymede.
Well, it's really odd ... Apparently there's something about the license that SVN is released under being incompatible with Eclipse's license. But the API portion of SVN is hosted at eclipse.org (so you can install it from the "Ganymede site") but the connectors (the actual implementations) are hosted at Polarion. It's a big mess, actually, and really unfortunate that it's so confusing to get SVN.

Worse. I can't install the connectors right now under 3.4 as it keeps complaining that they're invalid archives :-/

They've fixed that now. http://www.eclipse.org/newsportal/article.php?id=556&group=eclipse.technology.subversive#556
