Hello.
Well thanks it's being really difficult to get info.
Yeah, I know, it's been a little bit frustrating for me too. But
everybody on the lists have been incredibly helpful .
Im gonna download WOnder and read what is it about,
WOnder is HUGE and can be a little intimidating at first (like WO) but
it's incredibly cool and useful.
You don't need to understand everything, you can just use it (It Just
Works (tm) and leI took a piecemeal approach
Im downloading the installer from Jeremy Matthew's. I have read
already the http://wiki.objectstyle.org/confluence/display/WOL/WOLips-Eclipse+beginner+mistakes+and+questions
, hehe.
Well I will read this what you told me and I will start.
I have done so far the "Hello World" heheheh, I have a PDF called
Webobjects Developers guide but they use is Project Builder and the
depreciated apple tools so it has been complicated to do what they
say there into WOLips.
There are a couple of short screencasts about WOLips. Have a look at:
http://wocommunity.org/webobjects_screencasts.html
Thanks for all
I hope I will not disturb you and the ppl form the mailing list with
all the questions I will come with... I will try to solve them by my
own but if I can't ... well I will be writing.
Please, feel free to ask questions. I've had my share of those and I'm
sure I'll have more so I'm happy return the favor and help if I can.
I forgot to mention one very important tip.
You may want to check the old legacy WebObjects information from
http://developer.apple.com/referencelibrary/LegacyTechnologies/idxInternetWeb-date.html
Even though some of the material mentioned there is old and no longer
applicable, there's still a LOT of useful information that's not
available anywhere else. Especially the conceptual stuff. It's a shame
this information was not ported to the current documentation set.
In particular, I would suggest having a look at the following guides
from the WebObjects 4.5 Developer Documentation.:
- WebObjects Developer's Guide
- EOF Developer's Guide
Happy digging :-)
