Look here for information about Mike's latest additions to WOLips
Component Editor (the WOBuilder replacement):
http://wolips.blogspot.com/
More specifically here: http://webobjects.mdimension.com/wolips/screencasts/20080308 Sneaky Peek 4.mov
This replicates the drag-and-drop aspect of WOBuilder, but not the GUI
aspect. You are still writing code, but between the drag-and-drop and
the code-completion, I think you'll find WOLips to be an excellent tool.
These additions are experimental right now, so there are some known
bugs, but it's a much more friendly start to WO development.

Hello David
Thanks for the info I appreciate it, but I think Im traveling to the
US in june so I can wait for the books and in the mean while I will
do my best with the info I can get on internet and the help you guys
can provide me, so far I have eclipse and WOLips and Wonder
framework installed, well as I know I should import the framework to
each project, isn't it?.
Whats that of Mike Schrags work, is it in the WOLips site? I can't
find it, can you send me the link please?.
I have done the Hello World app from the WO developers Guide, all
there its written for Project builder and the depricated tools, so I
was trying to understand the "how" and coding it in WOLips, but I
got stuck in the part where I should make a javascirpt to generate a
dinamic html.
Anyway I will keep digging in.
Thanks
I hope I will not disturb you with my questions.

Hey Gustavo,
I sent an email to the owner of Authors book store (http://www.authors.com.co/
) in Bogotá with the two books you are looking for and your email
address.
I don't know if they will have any more luck getting the books for
you, but they place special orders every Monday.
The Practical WebObjects book is aimed at more experienced WO
Developers, and I wouldn't worry about getting it right away, at
least not until you've gotten some time in working with WO.
The biggest challenge you are going to have is that almost
everything, except WOLips tutorials themselves, references the old
development tools, which in the case of EOModeler, the new ones are
very similar and MUCH MUCH better. In the case of WOBuilder, they
new tools are quite different, but, especially with Mike Schrags
latest work (just over the weekend) it has almost as intuitive of
an interface, but it _is_ different. Count yourself lucky that
you're not trying to relearn how to do WO with the new tools as
that can be quite a challenge in and of itself!
Good luck, and use the list archives and the lists regularly
because that is what they are there for! Between Google, the Wiki
and the lists, WO has a lot of support out there, and the
experienced developers are almost invariably willing to help people
just getting started. Some really great new features in the newest
versions of WOLips are there because people who were new kept
asking the same questions and therefor the developers knew they
needed to address it.
