Hello Gary;
I was wondering if OpenJMS might be involved as it sounds just a
little bit familiar! :)
ActiveMQ is not too bad as a free alternative. On one system, I used
to push quite high volume traffic through an ActiveMQ queue and it
does seem to fail when there is a poor (in this case intentional)
balance between consumers and producers so that a queue depth gets
large. On another project there is a reasonable volume of well
balanced "chatter" going through a topic and a queue on ActiveMQ and
it seems to be just fine. In the former case, I have also used
SwiftMQ (http://www.swiftmq.com/) and it seems to behave quite well.
cheers.
OpenJMS 0.7.7-beta-1. I'm looking for a replacement because
occasionally that process goes nuts and has to be restarted, but
haven't selected one yet.
...
What JMS queue broker are you using?
...
That's what everyone says, but JGroups made this particular
problem worse. :(
...
This is the new one with JGroups swapped out for JMS.
