NSXMLOutputStream.disableReferenceForString()

Okay so I'm pulling my hair out here, can anyone confirm NSXMLOutputStream. disableReferenceForString() actually works in WO 5.4?

I'm setting this on my NSXMLOutputStream object and its not being respected, as my XML still contains:

<object idRef="124"/>

Can anyone verify this? I need every string printed whether duplicate or original.

Thanks,
Scott
