On my windows machine, I just wrote a one line Delphi app that calls ShellExecute to open the default browser. If you'd like I can send you the .exe and it could be included with the installer.

It's looking for WORootDirectory/Library/WebObjects/Executables/WOOpenURL.exe ... When I installed WO previously, I did so with the WO 5.2 Windows installer and then upgraded it to WO 5.3. Maybe the straight 5.3 installer doesn't include WOOpenURL.exe?
