Hi,
I am working on WebObjects 5.2.4 on Windows Platform. Now I wants
to upgrate to
WebObjects 5.3 on Windows. How to upgrade from 5.2.4 to 5.3 ?
What are the steps I need to follow?
Thanks and Regards,
GSK.

To start with 5.4 is somewhat less-than-stable. You may
want to move to 5.3.3 first, and await the next release of 5.4 (5.4.2).
Second, WO is just Java it is almost certainly _compatible_ with
any platform running Java. It is not officially supported on either
Windows or Solaris. The last version that was officially supported on
either platform was 5.2, which is what you are currently running.
Third, when you say you developed WO on Windows, did you use
Eclipse/WOLips or did you use Project Builder? If you were using
Project Builder, you'll need to transition to Eclipse/WOLips as the dev
toolset.
If you really want/need to upgrade, then Just a few days ago Don
Lindsay completed a screencast/tutorial on getting WOLips development
environment setup on XP. http://web.mac.com/pccdonl/

Hi All,
We have a project which is developed using WebObjects 5.2.4 and
Java 1.4.2 on Windows XP Platform and deployed on Solaris
9.
Now we would like to upgrate to WebObjects 5.4 on the same Windows
XP Platform and deploy to same Solaris 9.
Is WO 5.4 compatible on Windows XP platform ? If so,
can any one advise me how to convert my project to WebObjects-5.4
?
Thank You,
GSK.
