So, there are a few important things missing from the video tutorial; when using PostgreSQL, the PostresqlPlugin framework must be added, and specified.  The information to figure this out wasn't present on the wiki.objectstyle.org web site.  It really is a confusing web site - Confluence doesn't work that well.  But I do now have it creating db objects.
