Hello;
BTW; If you are using wotaskd deployment and take this route of
monitoring instances through the adaptor with something like ".../
Foo.woa/123/wa/..." then it is a good idea to return the instance
number 123 in the monitoring response and check it in the monitoring
software. The reason for this is that the adaptor will fail-over the
request to another instance and this will give you the impression that
the instance was working fine when in fact it was blocked or failed.
cheers.
Any one can advise me on some piece of software that can monitor
WOApps actually live and taking requests..
I run a few and once in a while one goes down with a 'No Instance
Available' and don't find out about it until I get a call from a
client - is there anything that can monitor and send an email if
not responsive?
A command line script with curl? Something like WebsitePulse.com or
any other monitoring service maybe? They all should call a direct
action that does something with the DB so you know, that the app and
the DB are responding.
Rest: Depends on your requirements.
