That's very cool the way you pulled out the instance number and appended it as one of the get variables.  Did you accomplish that by overriding _rewriteURL or is there a way to do that using the er.extensions.ERXApplication.replaceApplicationPath.pattern variable?

Nope, ERXAjaxApp defines only the minimum code necessary to use Ajax  
features.  ERXApplication/ERXWOContext are required to make rewriteURL  
work.
