WODisplay stringQualifierOperators

I've tried constructing a EOQualifier with the string "name starts with 'P'" and am trying to use that on my WODisplay object but it returns an empty list. When I use all the other stringQualifierOperators except for "contains" I get empty results. When I use "contains" I get the expected result. Anyone come across this behaviour? I'm using Project Wonder, MySQL (which shouldn't be the cause since the filtering is done in memory, right?) and the WODisplay object is created automatically by WebObjects. _______________________________________________
