Seriously now, maybe..., the only part missing from my shared ec subclass is auto-adding of new records to cached fetches[1]. Otherwise I think it's cool FWIW.

[1] Did I mention cached fetches? i.e., that mine use the timestamp lag unless it's a refreshing fetch spec... tis cool :-)
