building dynamic queries and reports

  • Subject: building dynamic queries and reports

Hi,

I'm working a project where we need to be able to allow clients to specify an arbitrary number of attributes to query from any entities they select, and then produce a report with the attributes they have selected based.

I've got limited experience with D2W, but the QueryAll page is too limited because it allows querying on a single attribute per entity. The Query page for individual entities is too narrow of a search. Similarly for the report building, the user needs to be able to specifiy what attributes are returned - almost like the Web Assistant allows you to pick what attributes are displayed for an Entity in the user.d2wmodel.

I was wondering if anyone has tackled this problem before and has any suggestions?

thanks
Ash Mishra
