Authenticating trough LDAP

  • Subject: Authenticating trough LDAP

Hello, Once upon a time, I asked something like this, well the time has come, the company where Im working on decided to build a Web Application with WO+EO+WebKit stuffs, now I have here in my left hand Practical WebObjects book, reading about authentication on a LDAP server, they are using an abstractUser for proposes to make a generic way to authenticate, Simple, Kerberos, LDAP etc. now... our app will authenticate only with LDAP, this means, (for me) that I need only one user,   with its credentials,  and oid. Or is it good practice to have such a Structure as the book suggests?.

Regards

Gustavo
