I don't think the nature of WOWODC has been made clear enough. At WWDC, you would maybe get, what, 2 hours at most of WO content, and that's only if Apple decides to throw us a pathetic bone? At this point, we don't even know if there will be ANY WebObjects content at WWDC (I hope so, but there's still nothing on the schedule). So if you were into iPhone stuff, then I agree that not having access to WWDC sort of sucks.

On the flip side, WOWODC has something like 17 hours of content. If you're looking for WO content, though, I can say that there is literally no better place in the world to get it than these two days. This is the best group of WO people I have seen in a single place, ever (maybe years-ago-WWDC's are the only thing comparable). We've got almost every notable community member speaking and we've got two confirmed senior level Apple employees, one from MobileMe and one from Apple Online Store, presenting. As if this wasn't enough (which it is), we have at least three more really cool I-can-only-make- insinuations-but-you-can't-depend-on-this-because-it's-not-officially- approved-so-it-can't-be-announced-for-real-so-this-statement-is-not- contractually-binding-and-i'm-indemnified-against-claims-for- suggesting-this-and-this-sentence-never-existed-but-if-things-come- through-it-will-be-very-cool announcements* for WOWODC, and it all adds up to "You want to be at WOWODC if you use WebObjects." I'm also not _100%_ certain at this point that the full set of sessions (see previous sentence) will be allowed to be recorded this year, so while recordings will likely have 95% of the content and still be great, there's a chance you're going to miss some cool stuff if you're not actually there.

* For the record, Pascal doesn't want to pre-announce things in case final approval doesn't come through -- he doesn't want people to feel cheated (since he has some amount of legal obligation as the organizer). I, on the other hand, have no such legal obligation don't care about your little feelings :), and want people to know that there's a CHHAANNNCEE of some really cool stuff, so make your plans accordingly, with the possibility that history will record that, in this particular case, my pants are on fire. Besides, unconfirmed things aside, if you use WO, you're going to drink from the wo- firehose here and learn some great stuff.

As this year's WWDC is sold out, and I would like to go to WOWODC, but can not justify the expenses for just two days, I would like to know

-Are the plans to do the streaming is still on?
-Is the block booking for the hotel also valid only for the weekend?
-Anybody interested in swapping houses during the month of june from SF/West Coast to Amsterdam (Netherlands, not Michigan)?
