Snow Leopard installed, now Eclipse fails

After Snow Leopard install the Eclipse build got
[Deprecated] Xalan: org.apache.xpath.operations.Registration
I did all the Eclipse updates, hope that's ok, then did the Ganymede
Apache update.
Now I get:
Cannot connect to JVM, invalid argument
FATAL ERROR in native method: JDWP No transports initialized,
jvmtiError=AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197)
ERROR: transport error 202: recv failed during handshake: Connection
reset by peer

JDWP exit error AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197): No transports
initialized [../../../src/share/back/debugInit.c:690]
I tried the two 1.6 JRE's and they get the same error as 1.5
<terminated, exit value: 134>/System/Library/Frameworks/
JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.5.0/Home/bin/java (Aug 28, 2009 6:54:21 PM)
BTW: since no one answered my previous posting I assume that embedding
the WOJavaExtensions is the right solution to the
LOCALROOT vs WOROOT problem.
