This is regular plain woa app with embedded frameworks. The optional
file deploy.properties is a text file that ends up in:
app.woa/Contents/Resources
I have the property
er.extensions.ERXProperties.OptionalConfigurationFiles declared in the
app's Properties file, not as command line arg.
Why not use ERXExtensions source in your workspace and debug the
loading of properties files or examine the code to see what is
happening?

For me, I have an optional file named "deploy-properties" that is
generated at runtime containing svn version, etc. The file is in my
apps Resources and this is how the property is configured and "it
works" without treating it as an NSArray property
## Optional properties to load
er
.extensions
.ERXProperties.OptionalConfigurationFiles=deploy.properties
I normally use this without treating the value as an array, but it's
also normally specified in one of the properties files that are
packaged in the app; not as a command line argument when launching
by hand. Actually, I'm pretty sure I found out about this on your
site;-)
I tried it as Mike suggested, but still nothing. Kieran, just so I'm
clear, you're saying your generated file deploy.properties is
included in your Resources directory (normal, non web app jar like
we're talking about?) and you specify this as a command line
argument using the ....OptionalConfigurationFiles=...? If so, is
your Resources directory at the top level of your jar? Thanks for
the responses, and any clarification you can provide; very much
appreciated.

This didn't work; properties not getting picked up still, but the
app does run
-Der.extensions.ERXProperties.OptionalConfigurationFiles=/some/
path/some.properties
I think this property expects an NSArray rather than a string ...
try ("/some..")
