Just to say I've had the exact same problem as Gustavo (I think), and
have run the combined installer multiple times, each time without it
giving any errors, but also without it installing the Eclipse app
itself. I've run the uninstaller, have cleared out any potential trace
of Eclipse from my system (as far as I can tell) before installing,
but nothing will persuade it to put Eclipse in its place.
Reading the installer logs yields nothing notable to my eyes, though I
will gladly install again if anyone would like a read of them.
Looking around the net, I found at least one other with a similar problem:

I haven't tried installing Eclipse separately, yet.
