Look like we need an invitation, even if we have a ADC Select account :

To link your Apple ID to your AppleSeed Account, You MUST have an email invitation that contains AppleSeed User Name and Password. Please enter the name and password provided in the email. If you are an existing customer, and need to retrieve your AppleSeed password, use the link below for assistance.

I think AppleSeed members have similar access privileges to those of Select ADC members. Well, I am not sure of the details, but when AppleSeed started, I was looking for reasons to join, and found none: an Apple rep actually told me that AppleSeed is more about giving access to people who till now could not get early builds.

Honestly, it looks like a mess.

ah, found it, here's what I got:

"Thank you for the note. The only benefit to the AppleSeed program over an ADC Select or Premiere account is that it does not require a paid membership. We merely wanted to ensure that no one was prevented from testing Java and WebObjects on Snow Leopard because of ADC's requirements for procuring seed keys."

According to this, a Select member should be able to access the AppleSeed forums. If this is not the case, perhaps a bug should be reported to Apple about their dev support.
