Dear List,

It appears our whole WebObjects deployment - 20 instances running - subsystem has crashed at random on one of our servers; see system.log and CrashReporter Log:

Has anybody else ever seen this?

Would it be a Java or H/W fault?

Feb 18 16:50:34 cluster7 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.webobjects.wotaskd[45]): Exited abnormally: Bus error

Java code does not produce bus errors. This came from the JVM. That means either a bug in the JVM / supporting libraries or a hardware defect (bad memory would be my guess there).

+1. 90% of bus errors that I saw in my experience are coming from RAM problems.
