Updating SiteConfig.xml manually

Hi!

(for some reason I cannot post to WO-Deploy, so here goes, while I try to see what's going on with my list subscriptions)

I'm trying to improve the support for rolling updates. This is what I want to happen when I deploy:

1) The new app is build with the SVN revision automatically appended to it's name.
2) SiteConfig.xml is updated by the build script to reflect the new path.
3) Manually use WOMonitor to launch new instances and set the old ones to die when no more sessions exist.

  Step 1 is done.

My problem is with step 2. If I try to change that file manually, wotaskd will reset it to the old values, and not reflect the changes.

From what I saw, doing this operation in Monitor results in Monitor sending to wotaskd (via http) a huge XML block that updates the application and all it's instances to the new path.

Is there any way to do this from a build script, without being forced to reproduce the whole XML thing?

  Yours

Miguel Arroz
