Is it for sale? I've never owned a country before... :-P
Well, now's your chance to buy your own beatiful tropical island -
if you've got a couple of euros or dollars, this country comes for
cheap! Just dial 1-800-ICE-LAND and send in your offer. Act now!
You'll never be short for atlantic cod again!

You almost had my money until you mentioned the cod. Hopefully, you
eat it fresh and not dried like those crazy Portuguese. ;-) Miguel
swears that he will convert me to the love of Bacalhau.
This seriously sucks since WOWODC has, at least for me, become a
very important part of the WO culture. I know I learned more from
those couple of days than I did from the entire WWDC last year (at
least for WO-related stuff).
The food was better too.
That statement resolves to false, since we can hardly classify those
plastic containers at the WWDC as "food" :-).
True. It was more of a "non-lethal food substitute".
Timezone differences was the first thing I thought of. Another
alternative is to have the presenters prepare packages (slides,
notes, code, frameworks) so that sometime more substantial than
videos might be released.
Excellent idea! Perhaps something like paying conference fees for "E-
attendees", to help hasten online publication of WOWODC material
would suffice?
One idea that I had was for each presenter to make a screen cast as
part of rehearsing their presentation. I think it is possible to
release the material at nearly the same time as the conference.
Oh... And I want bonus material. We're going to need a camera at The
Chieftain....
That won't be very interesting without you there to attract the
drunken bimbos.
