It certainly looks like a bug to me. Have you reported this to Apple?

No, and I won't before I have a chance to reproduce it with WO 5.4 (I am using 5.3 for the current project)
Maybe this bug is fixed in WO 5.4?

I have seen this, or a very similar bug, in 5.4.3.
