Sounds like a good idea. One question though: have you considered contributing back to Wonder the components you've overridden from it?
In Ravi's defense, they did completely offer all of their stuff back to Wonder, actually ... It was some work to integrate into Wonder because their code was 5.4 only, as I recall, and we needed to maintain a 5.3/5.4-safe build.
