Thank you both. I needed to be sure.
Now, within WebObjects is clicking either
of these links considered a GET request or a POST request?The reason I ask is because I'm attempting
to replace an applet in a webobjects application and need my replacement

The number at the end are the contextID and elementID,
which uniquely identify it in the application. Each "dot"
represents a level of component nesting.
Scroll down the "Component Action URL" section of this page.

Is there a difference between these URLs in what they respectively call?
I recall being told that the numbers after the wosid refer to something
but what that is I don't know.
