You need more information to solve your problem so.....
1) Are you using Project Wonder? If so, adjust WOMonitor args to turn
off concurrent request handling and configure the SessionStoreDeadlock
detection feature.
2) Turn on logging and tail -f the log to look for clues
3) right after you click, run jstack <pid> on the app from the command
line to see where all the threads are at.
4) Try running Shark time profile
5) Turn on SQL logging (either in the app or DB) and monitor that

browser progress bar shows that its doing something but the page never
moves on. If i click the link or button again it completes straight

We are not sure if its an apache problem or maybe request handler
