Hi Florijan.
I was thinking that you could define an annotation that indicates that
a particular has derived properties and then reflectively process
those on application start up (or somewhere similar). However, reading
further into annotations, I don't think they will serve the purpose
you require.
In the end, I would try to keep things as simple as possible. Thus
going with your original idea.

Nope. Never crossed my mind...
They might be able to do what you described by simply annotating
your EOFDataObject class.
